"Part of what it means to love someone. To really love someone. If you love someone then you don't just see them as an extension of yourself. You don't just love them for what's in it for you...Love means knowing when to let go."
-Tony Parsons "Man and Boy"
This is probably one of the hardest thing anyone has to do. Imagine having to let go of someone u love. Damn. Many of us would have already fought so hard to get the one u love and how many of us are actually willing to give that up? Seriously. Ever asked urself that question? Love and lost. Someone once told me...if u love someone, let the person go cuz if he/she comes back to u, u'll have him/her forever. Izzit true? Somehow i'm led to think that people are always searching for greener pastures to graze. This happens even if the grass on their side is fresh enough. They say that 'curiousity kills the cat', so are we all guilty of that? As in growing wary of what seems so normal and steady that we are all so ready for an adventure out of our comfort zones, like kittens on a mission to discover new things in this world. Well...i have mentioned before that emotions running thru at this point of wandering away would undoubtedly, or most commonly be lust.
"It is merely a lust of the blood and the permission of the will." Is it not? I think that we all have desires that our bodies can control, but unfortunately, our will is the one that gives consent to the crying of our desires. Sad but true. It aptly explains why so many marriages fall apart due to a moment of folly.
Yet another thing that bugs us all the time is death. Letting go of someone u love is also when that someone dies and u have to pick up where u halted and move on with live with a part of u missing. But it always has to be done the hard way. U can't sit and grieve forever can u? Which is why i always think that we humans have an immense amount of hidden strength. So many times we tell ourselves that we are not gonna get thru certain stuff but we always will...somehow.
In awe.
