Was watching "Something's Gotta Give" on HBO just yst. I am such a sucker for romantic comedies. They are actually so good that you end up buying into the whole idea of romance. Here's a lil something else that Diane Keaton said to her on-screen daughter (let's call her B for baby) after her series of bawls (which was hillarious!!!). This is so darn true. It is really rather unnerving. (Can't believe i actually went to look for the transcript of the movie!!! *blushes* while there's so much work left undone...oopz...no one said procrastination kills. Not yet anyway. Heh.) Here goes...

B: Are you crying?
D: Yeah. It's my new thing. I've gotten abnormally brilliant at it.
B: Why? What is it?
D: I'm in love.
Ain't it great?
Seems like I gotta learn how to do that
love-them-and-leave-them stuff,you know?
B: Oh, Mom, I hate this.
Now do you get my theory about all this?
You gotta self-protect.
D: You don't really buy this stuff you say, do you?
You don't actually think that you can outsmart getting hurt?
B: I think it's worth trying.
D: Listen to me.
You can't hide from love for the rest of your life
Because maybe it won't work out
Maybe you'll become unglued?
It's just not a way to live.
B: Are you telling me this is good?
D: I think you should consider the possibility
that you and I are more alike than you realize.
I let someone in,and I had the time of my life.
I've never had the time of my life.
I know, baby.
And I say this
From the deepest part of my heart.

And for the finale...

I think this final scene is really really sweet. Let's just call Jack Nicholason "J" and Diane Keaton "D" ya?

On a bridge somewhere in Paris.
J: Where's Julian?
D: He's back at the hotel.
He said when he saw me with you...

he knew that I was stillin love with you.
What do you have to say about that?

J: If it's true, my life just got made.
D: Why''d you come here, Harry?
J: Turns out the heart attack was easy to get over.
You...
Were something else.
I finally get what it's all about.
I'm 63 years old,and I'm in love...
For the first time in my life.
That's what I came here to say.

There is still hope my friends. No more worries singletons!!! He found love at 63!!! Damn.

Kim: Thanx! :) I heart you too!
