Happiness isn't something you experience.
It is something you remember.
~Oscar Levant (1906-1972)~

There always comes the time of the year
when everyone talks about the year's passing.
Fond memories, glorious moments, unwanted trash thoughts.
A year flies by sooner than you think.
Some people reflect through pictures but me,
I just write.

An uneventful start to 2006 marked the beginning of a treacherous journey.
To getting over some things that I got so close to but fell so distant.
That there is really such a thing called 'alcohol-induced bravery.'
And that friends do drift apart.
(for reasons that you may never ever want to find out)
But at the end of it all…
You come to a realization that things do happen for a reason.
And that being a passerby can be a blessing in disguise.

You realize that good shows, great songs & literary geniuses are made to last.
"A Walk to Remember", "Collide" & “The Time Traveller’s Wife” “Sandman”
Can you say BRILLIANCE?
And that ONE project runway show can change the world.
Because Jay McCarroll is the Bomb.
Voting for reality programs is also not as embarrassing as you thought.
Lukas Rossi. My baby from Rockstar Supernova!
And the only reason I come home every single show day.

Chee Bye is a really good word.

A mid-year filled with literal physical pains.
(Who in the right mind goes to work on bloody crutches?)
And emotional ones when my German babies lost the World Cup.
When the house was turned upside down because some stupid assumptions.
And when you realize how weak you actually are.

Being in my final year proved that i could fake it till i made it.
Although i should’ve never been a traitor.
Sociology baby i miss you.
Up the stage with crutches (like how f***ing rad is that?)
My extended walk of fame.

Disappointments at some people who left.
And worse when they chose to let go.

Then winning that Gold medal with the best team ever.
My polo babies rock big time.

I know that my “rela(tionship)-drama” never seems to seize.
But I’m glad that things worked out it the end.
For ‘all or nothing’ is not something I can do.
And something that I am glad I don’t.

Then there’s the stupidest joke i've heard in 2006:
S: Why does Felicity Huffman star in TransAmerica?
Me: (shrugs) Why?
S: Because she is "half (huff) man"

A fabulous tour in Melbourne ended the year with a bang.
What more could I ask for?

Transitions in Technicolor.

And 2007 shall be a 1st chapter.
Because 2007 has been nothing short of brilliance.

and simply because you make me smile.
