BIG BANG LOVE.



While the film's English title sounds obviously homoerotic,
it also hints at the film's significant theme of love and eternity,
something also implied by the Japanese title meaning
"4.6 Billion Years of Love" ~ Heroic Cinema ~

Indeed a hard film to swallow.
But i did however loved the use of analogies in the film.
Rainbows & butterflies for all things ephermeral.
Repetition & monotony in the confines of law & institution.
Free love in the barren land and crimson skies.
Eternity in space & heaven.
Excessive use of red for crimes of passion,
declaration of love & bleeding hearts.
Tight spaces & dark lightings igniting traces of clastrophobia & inner demons.

Pretty cool after you put some thoughts into it.

But at the immediate end of the show...
3 girls left the cinema with only one word in mind:
"EH?"

There comes a time where you have to learn.
The very notion of compromise.
The virtue of understanding.
And the simple act of trying.
Suddenly things aren't as bad as they seem.

Insatiable needs of being overwhelmed.
By the current, the here & now.
In this moment in time.
There is nothing more. And nothing less.
And suddenly it all falls into place.
A perfect piece of the puzzle.
