A random friendly chat that stemmed from a strange dream
(yes jem...it is totally weird...)
started an entire conversation about brief encounters, chemistry & love.

"you know...i think chemistry is...overrated when it comes to partners"

All it does is to lead you to believe there could be more to it,
leaving you setting expectations and being disappointed after.
But being in love....that's just something else altogether.
Chemistry is about completing each other's sentences,
making each other laugh, able to connect, and everyone can see it.
You can find chemistry with many people,
depending on how vulnerable you are at a point in time.
But on a whole deeper level, i gather it's when the odds are stacked really low,
when times are shit,
You need more than chemistry to get things going.
The spark gets inflamed from the connection of the two damn hearts,
Sometimes you meet this person and he turns out to be wow...attractive.
You two can really connect, talk about everything under the sun,
and you think "hey...i could go far with this person"
And then you get together and you realise that apart from the chemistry,
You guys have nothing left and it isn't enough to sustain a relationship.

That was what she said.

No, i know. I know that... I mean,

Maybe chemistry is good only when it's ephemeral.

Unfortunately...having had experiences that rendered feelings
like that only serves to justify my utter disgust.

It has come to my attention that i am unable to spell.
